Functions

Salt House is an open-plan venue with a fluid nature in both attitude and atmosphere. With this fluidity, we are able to offer a variety of areas within the complex to suit your event, be it an intimate dinner in our private dining room, a cocktail party with delicious canapés, a special dinner for eight on our “dining island”, an informal breakfast meeting or lunch or dinner for medium sized groups.

As we are a unique venue, our Functions & Events Team can assist you to create an event with a difference that will be remembered by all of your guests long after their visit.

In the near future we will be offering an expanded range of Canapé & “Roving” Menus, so keep your eyes on our website for updates on these exciting additions to Salt House.

Set Menu
This menu suits groups of 20 or more people dining in Salt House Restaurant. A choice of a 2 or 3 course meal is available and guests can simply advise the number of desired courses upon confirmation of booking.

Alternate Serve Menu
Designed for larger groups of 40 or more people in Salt House Restaurant, this menu allows guests to choose two dishes from the Main and Dessert selection and includes a selection of Appetizers.

Cocktail Canapé Menu
Our Canapé Menu is ideal for informal or formal gatherings as a selection of hot and cold morsels is offered. This menu is designed for groups of 20 or more.

Beverage Packages
We have a selection of Beverage Packages to suit all tastes and budgets. Packages can operate from 1 to 4 hours and are designed to compliment all of our menus. Please email greatviews@salthouse.com.au for a copy of our beverage packages.

Breakfast Function Menu

If you are planning an informal breakfast meeting for 15 guests or more, we have a selection of Breakfast Function Menus to suit. Whilst there are no facilities for presentations or speeches in our Restaurant, we do offer the chance for your guests to network with the backdrop of Cairns Marina and the Coral Sea.
